Liza and Rick decided to have their wedding day be an intimate and romantic one. They started their day getting ready at The Peninsula Hotel together. I think it’s really sweet when couples do that, especially for those who may have nerves and don’t want that build up tension of a formal first look and it gives you a chance to spend the whole morning with your partner. They had a car service rented for the afternoon, which took us to all of the locations in the city where they wanted photos together. Honestly, if you’re up in the air about hiring a car (limo, party bus, etc), trust me, it’s definitely worth it. This gives you the chance to hop in and out of the car while the driver is waiting at every corner for you, and you don’t have to drive around searching for parking or calling Uber’s, which can take such valuable time away from you both on your wedding day, and gives you more freedom to enjoy drinks or your favorite snacks during your ride around town.
Liza and Rick rented a private room in RPM Seafood that has a balcony overlooking the Chicago River and has some of the best views of downtown. They had a small wedding ceremony there with a few of their closest family members and friends. I love how every couple make their day unique, whether it’s a large party into the night or a sweet, intimate dinner with a view, like this day was, I am always happy to document such a memorable and meaningful day in couples lives. x

Intimate Scottish Wedding | Altskeith Country House on Loch Ard | Scotland Wedding Photographer | Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park | Alena Leena Bridal | Halo and Wren Bridal
Becca and Omar decided to leave London, to have an intimate destination wedding in Scotland with their closest friends and family. Everyone traveled up the single track Scottish roads that led them to the quaint Altskeith Country House on Loch Ard. This Scottish Wedding Venue is located in the heart of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It really is a beautiful place to have an elopement or micro wedding in the highlands of Scotland, if everyone wants to see the beauty of the country. From the lawn of Altskeith Country House you can see all of Loch Ard as well as multiple mountain tops in the Trossachs.
Becca’s wedding day attire was so beautiful. She found her stunning wedding dress, by UK designer Alena Leena Bridal, from a bridal boutique in the London area called Halo and Wren Bridal. Her wedding heels were Leather Gucci’s and her hair and makeup was done by Laura Gray of Hair and Beauty Bridal. , who is a such a lovely choice for any bride looking to travel to Scotland to have a destination wedding or elopement.
Becca and Omar were married with the Scottish landscape in the backdrop and their bridal portraits were taken along the pebbled shoreline of Loch Ard. They ended the night with delicious food, sweet speeches from loved ones and a row of twinkling sparklers were lit as they left into the night. It was truly such a beautiful time with them and their families celebrating their love surrounded by the serene Scottish landscape.

I now know that miracles do happen, because I met you...
Every wedding should start with coffee or champagne on a London balcony, and end with a beautiful room full of loved ones giving the most heart-warming speeches I have ever heard. Thank you for inviting me and trusting me to capture your wedding day, Meryl and Hugh. You two couldn't be more beautiful together and your story is so inspiring to me. Your day was magical to capture! Cheers to your beautiful journey of life together!

I just loved this wedding day. The Somerset House is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in London. If you are looking for a London wedding venue full of history and stunning architecture, then The Somerset House is the wedding venue of your dreams. Meryl and Hugh chose Spring Restaurant for their intimate reception with their closest family and friends. The Spring Restaurant is located right inside of the Somerset House. Spring restaurant is one of the most highly acclaimed restaurants in all of London, and if you value a solid chef and fine dining, then this location would be the perfect location for your wedding reception. Meryl started her day getting ready in the high end Apartment Suite at The Connaught Hotel for her getting ready moments on her wedding day. The Apartment Suite is a two-bedroom penthouse with high ceilings and endless details, as it was designed by David Collins! Just stunning and the rooftop terrace had the perfect views of the surrounding area of London. The Connaught hotel has been my favorite hotel to capture wedding “getting ready” photos in London. The Connaught Hotel is also just a short drive away from The Somerset House, so the travel to the wedding reception was very convenient. We took their bridal portraits in the epic courtyard of the Somerset House, then walked over to Spring Restaurant where they ended the night with the sweetest speeches and world class food. This was my first wedding I was asked to capture in London and it will always be so special to me. The Connaught Hotel, The Somerset house, and Spring Restaurant will always remind me of my favorite London wedding day and I’m so grateful to Meryl and Hugh for trusting me to capture their special love in a few of their favorite places in London. If you are looking for a London Wedding Photographer, I would love to create something beautiful with you!
